Catherine Ireton - For All the Fires Not Yet Lit

Friday 30th June - 6:30pm

£8 (£9 on-the-door)

(Musical Storytelling - Work in Progress - 60 mins)

Suitable for ages 12+

Catherine Ireton's 'For all the fires not yet lit' is a solo performance for studio spaces that uses found sounds, electronic samples, storytelling and song to tell a simple tale of one woman's quest to find her brave bone.

"Stories can conquer fear, you know. They make the heart bigger."

Timid Claire Lyons discovers that small risks have big consequences and in twenty four hours we follow her as she goes on a protest, makes friends with a shoplifter, ends up in a prison cell and wakes with a very different view of what is or isn’t possible.

For all the fires not yet lit is a clarion call to be brave in an age in which we are constantly told to be fearful.

Because courage, like fear, can be contagious.
